Description

A portion of a map of Watertown Township from 1896. This snippet shows the southern most portion of Watertown Township including the northern most part of the village of Delta Mills and a nearby community known as Ingersoll (also referred to as Daniel's Station)(2).  

Ingersoll was located northwest of Delta Mills along the railroad in the southern part of Watertown Township. The Ingersoll Post Office was opened on October 13, 1873. A railroad station was also constructed and the neighborhood contained several homes. The first postmaster was Barthold Wagner. The Post Office was decommissioned on July 15th, 1901, and mail was sent to Delta.
